Topic 1:

  1. The best photo that I have taken would have been my Portraits of the baseball Co-Captains Spencer DesBiens and Caleb Smith.
  2. These Photos stood out because I was able to get really good lighting and with the shades being able clear faces.
  3. It reflects that I can be really good with a camera when I am in the field I love to be in.
My photos skills have improved a lot considering that I have been able to help other students understand how their cameras work.

Topic 2:

Looking back on this term I have improved a lot with my skills as a photographer and a person dealing with the class I will be able to pass, but I wasn't able to get and A through the restrictions of life and and not being able to finish some of the assignments.  Also I wasn't able to contribute to the paper at all this term so I have made that a priority for next year I will contribute no matter what with the sports section.

Lynsey Addario Book Report

In the Lynsey Addario book "It's What I Do" I an able to relate to her sense of pursuing photojournalism in the war, because it is something she loves to take photos of.  The main reason is I love to take sport photos which is what I love, also she has to isolate her feelings from her subjects and the situation.  Addario is very unique when it comes to capturing the realistic moment with the faces of the subject and willing to get up close and capable of getting different angles. I wasn't able to learn any new techniques, but I was able to get better at capturing angles and getting closer with my photos, With my baseball photos I was able to get closer which allowed me catch the ball quicker. One of my favorite pieces of her work from her website is with all the Syrian refugees walking in a line through the dessert .  I selected this one because it's showing how many people are trying to leave, but knowing they won't be able to, or waiting for a long time. ...

Spring time Training for LBCC Women's Basketball

Swish! is the sound you hear when the ball hits the net, and nobody else is in there except you.   That is what I heard around 3 o'clock when I looked in there I saw one of the women from Linn-Benton's basketball team they were shooting using the shooting machine which is a high tech machine that lets you spot up and then it spits out a basketball every few seconds.   When 4 o'clock rolled around I started seeing other players show up previous players from the team and players trying out for the team.  Coach Harold came in and said 'Today we are going to do some 3 on 3 and 5 on 5 to get everyone in the flow again."  That is exactly what they did it felt like a regular basketball class except with the coach teaching the class and you actually get something out of it. Battle of Wills Lane defeats LBCC Women; 81-75

Title: Battle of Wills Deck: LB Women's basketball lose to Lane Linn-Benton’s Activity Center was the site of a hard-fought battle for second place in the Northwest Athletic Conference (NWAC) women’s standings on Jan. 25. Linn-Benton Roadrunners (4-2) played the Lane Titans (4-1) in a game that proved both these teams were deserving of a top seed, but Lane was more deserving narrowing out the win 81-75 due to the scoring of Sarah Hall who had 29 points and Sierra Carrier who had 22 points and 12 rebounds . The score was 42-33 in favor of the Titans at halftime, where they outscored Linn- Benton 25-14 in the second quarter.   Starting the third quarter, the crowd was getting into the game.
